Janis Gabbert:

Janis Gabbert comes from a family that has called Santa Monica home since 1924. For more than thirty years, she has cultivated both the art and the science of guiding buyers and sellers to achieve maximum value for their real estate dollar. 

From Santa Monica, Brentwood, and Pacific Palisades through all of Los Angeles County, she navigates a wide range of communities including Long Beach, the San Fernando Valley, Eagle Rock, Ventura, and beyond. Her specialty is matching people with the home of their dreams that their soul and pocketbook can agree on.

Janis began her career in real estate in 1990 with the Jon Douglas Company in Studio City where she developed an instinct for finding "needles-in-a-haystack," tenaciously helping buyers acquire their dream homes and sellers realize the best return on their home investment. 

With insight derived from experience at both escrow and mortgage companies, Janis understands the intricate details of financing and can negotiate a route through confusing escrow requirements and closing details.

During an award-winning career in advertising, Janis developed the talents of creativity, imagination, attention to detail and the ability to deliver on time and on budget. A thorough grounding in the psychology of marketing, experience in the art of negotiation, and the patience to do painstaking research and analysis makes it possible for her to provide clients with a unique mix of skills. 

Achieving the real estate impossible has become her dedicated mission. She pursues every client’s goals as if they were her own - crafting a custom, individualized plan for each buyer and seller. Always seeking for sellers the most committed buyers at the most profitable price - in any market - be it fast, slow, or static. Wisdom, humor, and style combined with a commitment to integrity, confidentiality, and mutual respect, has earned the trust of clients and colleagues.

Since 2006, Janis has served the community as the Co-Chair of the Visual and Performing Arts Advisory Committee to the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District. She may be spotted at school concerts, exhibits, and performances, supporting the educational quest of children to discover and express themselves through arts and music.
